IUP Defeats Men's Swimming in Senior Day Meet

The Frostburg State Men's Swim team fell 142-63 to Indiana (Pa.) at home on Saturday.

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Swim team fell 142-63 to Indiana (Pa.) at home on Saturday.
 
Prior to the meet, FSU honored its three seniors in Josh Horner, Nigel Webster, and Andrew Wetherhold as they round out their Bobcat careers.
 
Frostburg began the meet with the team of Horner, Webster, Wetherhold, and junior Zeke Cummings placing second in the 200-meter medley relay in 1:55.50. Junior Tory Reynolds secured the lone FSU victory on the day, winning the 50-meter fly in 26.75 while also finishing runner-up in the 50 breast at 31.84.
 
In the distance events, junior Jack Bond (4:27.13) and freshman Bliss Hays (9:08.81) both placed second in the 400 and 800 free, respectively. In the 200 free, junior Dylan King had the final individual runner-up spot at 1:57.32.
 
The Bobcats closed out the day with the team of Reynolds, King, junior Joshua Stokes, and freshman Sean Filipovits taking second in the 200 free relay at 1:40.82.
 
With the loss, FSU drops to 2-4 on the year, while IUP improves to 2-2. The Bobcats will return to the pool in the new year as they travel to Salem (WV) on Saturday, January 10 at 1 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
